چکیده

A very simple, rapid and highly sensitive fluorimetric method for the determination of difhmisal in serum and urine is described. The method is based on the formation of a ternary complex between ditlunisal, Tb3+ and EDTA in alkaline aqueous solutions. This complex exhibits very intense terbium ion luminescence with a main emission maximum at 546 nm when excited at 284 mn. Optimum conditions for the complex formation have been investigated. The detection limit for diflunisal is 2.4 pg l-l, while the range of application is 0.01-6.00 mg 1-l. The method has been successfully applied for the determination of diflunisal in untreated human serum and urine samples. Analytical recoveries from serum and urine samples spiked with diflunisal were in the ranges of 96X-101.2% and 98.0-102.0%, respectively.

Determination of Methotrexate in Biological Fluids and a Parenteral Injection Using Terbium-Sensitized Method

A new sensitive, simple and rapid method for determination of methotrexate (MTX) was developed based on quenching effects of MTX on the fluorescence intensity of Tb3+-1,10-phenanthroline complex. The fluorescence intensity was measured with excitation wavelength of 300 nm and emission wavelength of 545 nm and the quenched fluorescence intensity is proportional to the concentration of MTX in Tris...

Christina J . study of fluorescent ternary terbium complexes . in enzyme amplified fluorimetric immunoassay for a - fetoprotein

A systematic spectrofluorimetric study of the formation of ternary complexes of terbium ions (Tb3’) with ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) and a variety of bidentate organic ligands has been performed. Fourteen ligands (salicylic acid, quinolones and hydroxybenzene sulfonic acid derivatives) were examined as efficient energy donating chelators for Tb3+. The fluorescence properties of the ...

Development of a Simple and Sensitive Terbium Sensitized Fluorescence Method for Determination of Epinephrine and Norepinephrine in Serum

A simple, rapid, selective and highly sensitive fluorimetric method for determination of two catecholamines, i.e. norepinephrine (NE) and epinephrine (EP), in serum samples was developed. The method is based on the fluorescence sensitization of terbium (Tb3+) by complexation with both catecholamines in the presence of lanthanum (La3+), as a co-cation, and in a Na...
